Indigo Bananas - Hole In The Sky swatches+review

** press sample**
Purple flaky goodness is the order of the day with Indigo Bananas Hole In The Sky! This is part of the Summer Rains collection, the same collection that Molten Universe is in. The base is a blue-leaning violet, and it's packed with holographic shimmer and color-shifting flakies. Above is a picture in direct sunlight. The photos below are in the shade outside, on the left, and indoors with natural light, on the right.

The flakies are red to green, but the holo shimmer throws a big old shade across that and says, "Oooh pink!" The formula is great on this, and was opaque in two coats. My first coat was thin to test the formula, but it held well. All that was needed was a second coat :) I had no issues with the formula, and it also did not stain.

This polish is just gorgeous under artificial light. You can purchase this (and others!) at the Indigo Bananas' website for $12 for a full-sized bottle and $7.25 for a mini.

NEW! Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eye Shadows swatches+review

**press sample**
Milani has completely revamped their polish and eyeshadow lines - and I've got the low down on 30 ways to make your eyes pop! These amazing shadows retail for $3.99 (yes, you read that right $3.99) and, for the most, part are amazing. Some do have their issues, but overall, this collection is all kinds of great.

From Milani's website:
A gel powder – what would that even look like? We’ll tell you: It looks like rich, vibrant color that glides on in a single stroke, delivering a stunning multi-dimensional effect. What makes it a gel powder? Well, the formula starts as a gel and then is transformed by a special process into a stunning powder eyeshadow with pure color and power wear.

The unique process allows you to blend this incredibly innovative, weightless formula easily with your fingertips to light up your eyes. Even more to entice: It can used wet or dry, resists creasing, and comes in satin matte, shimmer and iridescent metallic finishes. You just have to try this gel powder. It’s that different.
They most certainly ARE smooth like butter to the touch. They glide on easy, and with primer, they lasted all day on me. Granted, I should have tried without primer, but I didn't :) Sound intriguing? Wanna see some swatches? Check them out after the cut!

5 Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Glosses swatches+review

**press sample**
Milani is really killing it this year with some of their new beauty releases! However, these Brilliant Shine lip glosses were not a hit with me. It's probably a personal preference, because I know a lot of people really like these glosses. I found them tacky and sticky; and they didn't last very long. Now this is all my experience - they have worked well for other bloggers! But just like my rave review of the Milani Power Lips, they worked for me, but not for others :)

Find out more details after the cut!

Wet n Wild Limited Edition Summer 2014 trio in Sun-Set to See

Wet n Wild Limited Edition Summer 2014 trio in Sun-Set to See

What is there to say? New Wet n Wild eyeshadow trios for this summer, and you KNOW I had to get at least one of them! Last year, I needed all the limited edition trios, but not this year. I only purchased one - Sun-Set To See, which featured a cream, brown and bright coral-y orange.

Aside from being my favorite trio of colors of eyeshadow, this one was the obvious choice for me as it was completely different than the other trios. Well, I mean, it has three colors that I would actually wear. Don't get me wrong. The other palettes have great color choices, but this one just screams me with each color :) Below are the arm swatches. The shadows themselves are smooth and very soft to the touch and I had no issue with pigmentation.

I happened to see these at Rite Aid, so I snapped some photos. Below is the display. I'm not sure if this collection has a "name," but Fergie is definitely there, as is the dreaded "LIMITED EDITION" designation. So, if you want any of these, I'd suggest buying them ASAP.

Here are close-ups of the six different trios. Sorry about the glare - these were taken on my phone while standing in Rite Aid. I'm pretty sure all the people walking around me thought I was nuts :) Do you see one you need? I might be swayed to pick up more of these (as I so much loved last year's trios) if  (a they were on sale or (b I had more money!

Indigo Bananas Molten Universe swatches+review

** press sample**
Ooooh Molten Universe by Indigo Bananas has stolen my heart. This polish is sitting pretty right on top of my Top 10 of 2014 right now. It's gorgeous. A dream to apply, and the formula is great. Above is a photo in direct sunlight; and the photo below is outside in the shade.

The base is a fiery red-orange, which you guys will note is only, like, my favoritest color. Well, ya know, anything orange is good for me! The flakies are red to green - or green to red? They come off pink a lot of the time. I guess it's all about perpective :) There's also a light shimmer running through it. Below is a photo indoors with natural light.

I used three very thin coats for full coverage, and I do think it could be opaque in two coats. I have just conditioned myself to do thin coats now. On the site, it says base coat is recommended due to possible staining issues, but I had no issues when I wore this polish - and I wore it for two days. Below are two photos indoors with the flash on my camera. It's fiesty!

This polish is a must have for all orange or coral polish lovers. It is from the Summer Rains collection. You can purchase this (and others!) at the Indigo Bananas' website for $12 for a full-sized bottle and $7.25 for a mini.
