Today is my son's 7th birthday. It seems like just yesterday he was born...
...and now he's a little man who can do anything! Like playing Little League...
...jumping in puddles...
...teaching a Tree Frog to play Scrabble...
...building awesome things with Legos...
...handdrawing 50+ birthday party invitations...
...and just being adorable lounging around!
I don't know where I'd be if not for him. He is amazing to me. Every day is something new. I ask him all the time if he will be my little boy forever...to which he replies, "I'll always be your kid, Mom."

The one with LASplash Cosmetics Midnight Rain
I saved the best LASplash for last! This is Midnight Rain, a deep, dark blue jelly base packed with blue and red glitter. So packed that it's really all you see when you look at it. This one is my favorite of the four I have...but only very slightly :) I loved them all, and I can't wait to get more of them :)
This base was so darkly rich that it may have been okay with the right amount of one coat. It would be beautiful over a light polish (maybe white or light blue?) I used a base of China Glaze Strong Adhesion, two coats of the color and a top coat of Poshe.
You can visit LASplash Cosmetics on the web, or its Facebook page.

The one with LASplash Cosmetics Submarine
I guess by now it's no secret that I love LASplash Cosmetic polishes? I have a third one here for you - Submarine, a shimmery blue-leaning greenish teal. It's very pretty!!! Application was smooth like butter, and I used two coats sandwiched between China Glaze Strong Adhesion and Poshe.
hahaha Submarine. Sandwiched. I'm crazy.
Two coats to opaque, as with the glitters. The formula on this one was thinner than the glitters, but I think that's only because it wasn't jelly-like. I had no problems with streaking or coverage. These LASplash polishes really are great quality :)

The one with LASplash Cosmetics Glitz & Berry
I have another great polish from LASplash Cosmetics for you today! This time it's Glitz & Berry, a magenta-toned flashy red. As soon as I put it on, it sent my mind to China Glaze Ruby Pumps (and actually more than one person asked me if I was wearing Ruby Pumps). It's a gorgeous, sparkly red.
As with Atlantis, application was jelly-ish, but opaque in two coats. I still can't get over how opaque in two coats :) Base was China Glaze Strong Adhesion, and top coat was Poshe. Here are the sparkly pics:
I love this polish. I just do. The formula is good and the color is just outstanding. I believe this brand is available at Ulta - I wish there was an Ulta near me :(

The one with LASplash Cosmetics Atlantis
I have for you today a polish brand that I've fallen in love with - LASplash Cosmetics! The polish in this post is named Atlantis. Yep. I have two other Atlantis-named polishes in my collection :) And all three of them are completely different!
This Atlantis is a jelly purple base packed - and I mean PACKED - blue and pink glitter. It's gorgeous. I wore it for two straight days with no chips, nicks or dents. But the best part? Opaque in two coats. So packed with glitter there was no room for anything else :)
On to the pics! Like I said, two coats. Base was China Glaze Strong Adhesion, top coat is Poshe. Lightbox?
Enlarge the photos to see just how much glitter!! Now, on to the natural light photos...
And of course the flash shot makes it look so daaaaaark:
The bottom line: I'm in love with this polish. I want to experiment with it over different bases. I was disappointed when I took it off, that's how much I loved it!

The one with my favorite polish :)
I realized that I had a question in my giveaway...about my favorite polish...and I never publicly gave the answer! So what is my favorite polish?
**DISCLAIMER** I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these polishes myself or were given gifts as friends because I could not find the particular shade I wanted myself. I am not a professional nail tech, nor do I want to be. I'm just someone who enjoys polishing my own nails :)

The one with the giveaway winners!
Of the three winners I chose yesterday, only one responded! And it's even been more than 24 hours, so I redrew for second and third...BUT who won the top prize?
JOY!!!
Congrats Joy! I will be getting your package ready (pictured above) and out to you in a few days! Like a dummy I closed the randomizer.org window with the original numbers on it. But I remembered to save the second one!
second prize goes to...
Kari!!!
and receiving the third prize is...
Jeanie Barbee!!!
Hopefully I will hear from everyone soon with their addresses!
The one with WnW Sunny Side Up+OPI Extra-va-vaganza!
I was in an orange mood. Yeah, I know, I'm in an orange mood a lot. Anyway, I found this bright, lovely orange, Wet n Wild Sunny Side Up. It's vivid, it's bright - it's a lovely orange...and it's slowly rivaling Zoya Jancyn in my heart.
A lot of people look at WnW polishes as cheap, but not this gal. I've had great experiences with their polish, and I have come to love even the tough ones for one reason or another. I am not ashamed to say that most of my collection could be WnW for the rest of my life, and I would be perfectly happy.
Anyway, onto Sunny Side Up! I used two coats of SSU sandwiched between a base of Nail Life Nail Revitalizer and a top of Poshe. I'll just show ya all the pretties I got :)
Isn't she pretty! Not to brag, but I look good in Orange polish. It's one color that I can't say has ever looked bad on me. Sheesh, I sound terrible right now hahah But anyway, I had a case of "Can't Leave Them Alone" syndrome and decided, on the second day, to top this pretty little mani - with OPI Extra-va-vaganza. Orange-based flitter? Heck yes!
...But I wasn't over-the-top excited about the end result.
It's a gorgeous glitter! I just dunno if this base was the right one for it. I'm going to try other bases with it.
I drew the winners of my giveaway yesterday...and only one of the three have responded. I gave the winners 24 hours to get back in contact with me (i.e. reply to my e-mail) with their addresses. I have a pedicure today at 1 p.m. By the time I'm back, if the other two don't respond, I will redraw for those prizes :)

The one with giveaway woes
On closing my giveaway, and checking the entrants, I see people that I know are international :/ In the rules, it states that this is only open to the Continental US. So here's how it's going to go. I'm going to pick three winners. If I do not know the winners chosen to be in the Continental US, I will notify them via e-mail. They will have 24 hours to respond with their address. If they are international, I will choose another winner. I'm sorry if this offends you, or you get upset.
The form plainly stated "There will be three winners. One entry per person. I am sorry that I can only offer this giveaway to residents of the Continental U.S. only. I apologize for those who will be left out."
EDIT: ALL THREE WINNERS HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AND E-MAILED. LIKE A DUMMY, I CLOSED THE WINDOW WITH THE WINNING NUMBERS *headdesk*Good thing I wrote them down! lol

The one where I won!! And I close my giveaway...
I WON. I can't believe it. My guess was only one off! I am so in shock lol
My giveaway ends today! It is just around 9 a.m. my time, and I will end it at noon,. So don't delay - if you want to enter, enter now! It'll be a while before I have another giveaway (maybe 500 followers?), I dunno. But lately I've felt like giveaways aren't appreciated and looked down on. I've been made to feel, more than once, that I was only having a giveaway to gather followers. If that was my mission, I guess I failed terribly. I don't care whether you followed my blog because of a giveaway. You're here now, I guess, and lately, I've been getting mounds of comments :)

The one with my at least 16-year-old polish
So while organizing my polish in my new hlelmer (or a fake "melmer" I bought at Hobby Lobby) I found a polish. It's purple and called Prowler. However, it has no label with a brand on it. I'm pretty sure I had other colors in this brand. But I can't remember where I bought it.
What I do remember is that I wore this polish in high school o.O
Yes, high school. I graduated in 1995. So, even if I only wore during my senior year, this polish in 16 years old. And it's in great shape!
It's not goopy at all!I had no trouble applying it for a manicure. I used a base of Nail Life Nail Revitalizer and a top coat of Poshe. In the lightbox:
It's a really deep, shimmery violet purple. Natural light really brings it out:
With the flash, it almost looks blue!
Has anyone seen these types of bottles? Does anyone know where they came from?
