The one with Barielle Elle's Spell over WnW Black Creme

Today I have for you a truly gorgeous combo - Wet n Wild Black Creme topped with Barielle Elle's Spell, a red jelly with flakies! The end result is beautiful! I can't wait to wear this combo again. I truly loved it. Black Creme is the BEST black out there. It's smooth and opaque in one coat - and for 99 cents, you can't beat that!

Sometimes I don't know if my hands can rock dark colors. There's been several times where I've worn a dark color, and kind of been ucked. I dunno. I took a lot of pictures. Let's just let them do the talking:

Isn't it pretty!? I just really love this look :) What's your favorite flaky?

The one with OPI Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It

Good morning :) I have for you today another "older" OPI, Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It, a bright orange-red from the Australia collection. Application is smooth and creamy. I had no streakiness or unevenness. Just a dream to apply! Pictured is two coats sandwiched between a base of China Glaze Strong Adhesion and Poshe top coat.

It's really pretty, no? I have been leaning toward reds and deeper oranges lately. I don't know why...must be the phase I'm going through...or maybe my mind is getting geared up for Halloween? Speaking of which, has anyone found the Wet n Wild On the Prowl collection? I'm dying for it!

The one with Zoya Grace...and my peeling with the Barielle Strengthening Cream

Hi all! I figured I'd better update you on my progress with Barielle's Nail Strengthening Cream. In short, it didn't work for me as well as I hope it would. After two weeks, my nails started to peel. I used the cream 2 times a day.
And it didn't stop there. I kept using the cream for a week after this peel started, thinking maybe it might correct itself. Nope. All my nails started to peel after that. It must just not be good with my body chemistry. No biggie - some things work, and some don't! I've gone back to using OPI Nail Envy. We shall see if it works this time around :)

So on to today's post - Zoya Grace, a sheer, milky pink. Zoya.com says it's a milky peach, but I really see more pink than peach. Pictured is four coats. You can still see VNL, but really, with this type of polish, that's expected.

This polish really isn't much like me. I bought it because my niece is named Gracie. Zoya doesn't have a polish with my name, so I'm trying to get find as many other names that mean something to me.

The one with China Glaze City Siren+Claire's Bedazzled

Hello out there :) Today I bring you one of the China Glaze Metro Collection - City Siren, a deep red creme. It's gorgeous! And I have a little story about this polish after I show you the swatches. Never mind the messiness about my pinky, please. I have no idea what happened there lol

Anyway, I used a base coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, two coats of polish...and then I forgot the top coat. In my rush to utilize the sun, I forgot my top coat. All these photos are in the sunlight.
The polish looks more toward a raspberry in the sunlight. It doesn't quite look as red as it really is. ANYWAY. So I mentioned I went without top coat? Well, I went about my day, started laundry...and then cutting smoked sausage and potatoes for dinner...when I realized I wasn't wearing a top coat! I went into panic mode and started checking out my nails...but this is what I found...
No chips, nicks or dents after an hour without top coat! I was seriously amazed. City Siren gets an A+ for durabilty :) But the same day I tried City Siren, I got a prize polish - meaning I won a contest by guessing someone's daughter's middle name. I won Claire's Bedazzled. It's a glitter. Just packed. So I topped City Siren with Bedazzled:

BA-LING. Kind of reminds me of Christmas...

The one with LA Colors Green Tea+white art deco polish

Hi all! I received some nice things from LA Colors to review :) The first two things are a nail color - Green Tea, a shimmery sheer light grass green, and a white Art Deco color.

Green Tea is very, very sheer. It took four coats to achieve this opacity. Four coats sandwiched between a base of China Glaze Strong Adhesion and a top of Poshe. This made it very difficult to remove. I almost had to resort to the foil method of removal to completely get the polish off.

The removal aside, I love this color! Next time I wear it, I might try it over a base so four coats aren't necessary. Even tho the formula was thin, it was not streaky or weak. It was very colorful. But I couldn't resist having some fun with the white Art Deco polish...

On my pointer finger, I crafted a simple french tip, put polka dots on my middle finger, made a daisy on my ring finger (with Zoya Pippa for the center) and made dots on my tip for the pinky. It was SO EASY to work with. The brush was long and thing which afford me the chance to drag the brush across for the tip, and to simply dot softly for the polka dots. I'm going to have to track more of the Art Deco polishes down!

You can visit LA Colors on the web, or its Facebook page.

The one with OPI Vodka and Caviar

Hello all! Today is a polish from OPI's Russia collection - Vodka and Caviar, a slightly jellyish red creme that is a dream to apply.  I had no issues with this polish, I even got it to spread all pretty-like in two coats :) Probly could have benefited from a third coat, but I think it looks nice :) In these pictures, there is no top coat.

Isn't it shiny even without top coat? Removal was a breeze, too. No staining or anything. I was wondering if I might try making a jelly sandwich with this polish eventually...

The one with OPI Gargantuan Green Grape+Sinful Colors Nail Junkie

I realized this morning that I forgot to post yesterday! I did a lot of swatching, tho, so I have LOTS of good stuff coming :) Today I have a layering project that didn't turn out so well for me hahaha .

GGG is a light, airy green that leans every so slightly toward mint - but not too much. The formula was kind of wonky, and took three coats to even out. So anyway...I started with three coats of Gargantuan Green Grape sandwiched between a base of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails and a top of Poshe...
...and then I topped it with two coats of Sinful Colors Nail Junkie...
It cute! It just didn't look right to me...and as you can see, I got some shrinkage on a few nails. I'm guessing because of the Nail Junkie being really thick. *shrug*

Also - I got my Julep Maven box yesterday! I find the colors - a bubblegum pink called Cameron and a dusty purple called Alfre - not to my liking. I wish I'd requested a shelf pull. I requested a shelf pull for next month, so we shall see what happens. The star of my Julep Maven box this month is the hand scrub. LOVE! My hands felt so soft after using it :)

The one with China Glaze Hey Sailor

Hello peeps! Today I have one of the best reds - China Glaze Hey Sailor, a bright red creme that was kind of jelly-like. But not too jelly-like. The formula was excellent - no streakiness or clumpiness or coverage issues. I used two coats, but I probly could have gotten by with just one. I used a base of China Glaze Strong Adhesion and a top of Poshe.

Gorgeous red, no? I love it!! Can't wait to wear it again! I've been thinking about doing a special set of Saturday posts. Might try one out this week and see what happens.

The one with Essence twins Mr. Big+Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat

I'M TOTALLY USING THIS TOP COAT WITH ZOYA JEM ASAP!
/end yelling.

hahaha Anyway! I have a nice combo for you today! I received  Essence Nail Art Twins in Mr. Big in a swap with a fellow blogger. I kind of cringed when I realized I had no idea who Mr. Big was. Yeah, I never watched Sex and the City *shrug* Anyway, this is a nice purplish fuschia that isn't too pink (which is an awesome trait in a polish for me lol). I used one coat because I knew I was going to go with a topper...
For my top coat, I chose Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat. I'm not much for holos. However, this is kind of fun because it's not tooooo holo. I used two coat of it on top of Mr. Big.

I wish I had Carrie, the companion to Mr. Big. It's a glittery top coat. Oh well, I can have everything, that's for sure :) Of the good, something totally awesome happened today :) I won a $10 gift certificate to a local salon - the salon where I got dusty hunting! Yay for free polish!

The one with WnW Save Water, There's a Drought

I have for you today, my lovely readers, another of the Wet n Wild Wild Shine Go With The Flow-er collection - Save Water, There's a Drought! It's a blue-ish greenish metallic shimmer. I'm really lucky to have found this entire collection at a local CVS. As many WnW lovers know, their limited collections never have a rhyme or reason to where they show up - we are at the mercy of the stores.

This is two coats of the polish sandwiched between a base of China Glaze Strong Adhesion and a top of Poshe. On to the pics :)

The one with WnW Tulip-git to Quit...and I'm a Julep Maven :)

I signed up to be a Julep Maven! It's a really cool monthly box from Julep, which includes polishes and the latest treatments for $19.99/month. You can cancel at any time. If you use this link or any blogger's link, you give a $15 Julep.com credit to that blogger (so click my link and give me referrals! lol) I am really looking forward to getting my first box :) The first 100 people to sign up to be a maven can use the code FBMAVEN and get their first month for only $9.99!

...but now...on to today's polish - Wet n Wild's Tulip-git to Quit! It's a really pretty bright pink creme from the Go With the Flow-er limited edition Wet Shine collection. I was lucky enough to have found them all at a local CVS. Now if I could only find the new On The Prowl Halloween collection already! cheese and rice...but I digress...back to this beautiful pink!

For those who really know me, you know I don't do pink. I don't own many polishes (less than 5), and most because of their names. Despite this one being part of a limited edition collection (and therefore a must-have), I would have bought this one for the name! And now on to the pretty pretty swatches!

Like I said before, I'm not a pink person. I rarely wear pink. But when I do, you KNOW it lol I make a statement when I wear pink. This really is a perfect pink. Great price (99 cents, what?!) with excellent coverage in two coats. The formula wasn't goopy or streaky.
